Solvent recovery and purification solutions

Solvent recovery, purification, recycling technology

MCL maintains close cooperation with well-known European and American technology companies and R&D institutions in the field of solvent recovery and purification. Its solvent recovery technology has been verified by many industrializations.

Proven recovery and purification technology for contaminated solvents

Thermal distillation: removal of heat-stable salts, fine suspended solids and impurities

Amines: primary, secondary and tertiary amines

Ethylene glycol: primary, secondary and tertiary glycols

Field-proven MCL recycling equipment

MCL's recycling equipment has unique advantages over other similar technologies:

Simple and robust design

Higher recovery rates

Lower utility and energy requirements

Lower equipment and operating costs

Less waste disposal

Simple operation and maintenance

Recovers single, mixed and formulated amine solvents or glycols

Perfect purification solution

MCL's recovery equipment has been proven in industrial applications (e.g. natural gas processing) and has demonstrated outstanding purification results, with purification purity close to the original purity of the solvent. The entire process is economical, energy-efficient and easy to operate.

Recovery rate up to 98% (1.5 wt% contaminants)

Removal of organic heat-stable salts, inorganic heat-stable salts, degradation products and heavy metals

Recovered products are clear and like new

Flexible heating source requirements: saturated steam pressure can be as low as 40 psig (0.27 MPag)

Low pressure operation: typically 190 mmHg (25.33 kPa)

Operating temperature: between 85°C and 95°C

Slipstream or full flow design

MCL recovery equipment can be designed as either a slipstream-assisted process or a full-flow process.

Slipstream flow is typically 1.5% – 2.5% of full flow.

Slipstream design allows continuous purification of amine and glycol solvents at high flow rates (similar to the human kidney)Full-flow design can be used to handle waste-only storage facilities

Economical and modular production

MCL solvent recovery solutions are economical, easy to install, transport, operate and maintain and highly scalable.

MCL can provide quick solvent recovery equipment or plant equipment. Multiple factors will affect the design of each plant and thus affect the equipment cost and operating cost. We have provided a simple information request form for customers who want to estimate costs. Please contact MCL to obtain the form and fill in the required information and send it to us. We will respond as soon as possible.
